National Committee of the International Astronomical Union (NC IAU)
The National Committee of the International Astronomical Union (NC IAU) represents the Swiss interests within the IAU and actively participates in different task groups and programs of emphasis by the union.
IAU campaigns for the conservation and advancement of teaching and research in the field of astronomy in various countries. The national committee is a subdivision of the Swiss Commission for Astronomy (SCFA).
